A Family Tree Memory Book

Make a family tree memory book with your child or grandchildBegin with parents, grandparents, and great  grandparents, and subsequent pages can include aunts, uncles, and cousins.  See the blank tree template under  the family tab.

Hint: One technique that I have used for capturing old photos is using my i-phone to take a photo of the photo.  I then send the photo to my email address, save it in my computer in "My Pictures," and it's ready to be used in so many ways.

I saved the photo tree in a jpeg format to add to this blog.  You could also save the tree as a Word document.  Photos could be cut out in order to mount in the blank boxes of the tree.

My desire to find my roots started in December, 2012 when I joined Ancestry.com.  When I searched other family trees on that site that might have information on my family, I found some photos of great uncles who I remember from my childhood.  The owner of the tree from which I borrowed the photos emailed me.  Soon, we discovered that she and I are distant cousins, and, amazingly, she had photos and memories of my beloved paternal grandmother that she wanted to share.  Needless to say, I love Ancestry.com for helping me find my new, long lost cousin.

I hope that my story inspires you to search for your roots and, perhaps, make a Family Tree Memory Book of your own.
